![]() ![]() (Cruisers, especially radar-cruisers, can be surprisingly persistent, in my experience.) Submarines are a high-priority target and a lot of ordnance can rain-down upon a detected submarine hull in a short time.Īlso, several ships are equipped to chase and sink a submarine, if the player of those ships is in the mood to do so. Underwater detection by other submarines involves hydro-acoustic search (when the consumable is used) and/or proximity detection (getting so close that one achives "assured detection", which can work "both ways").Īs a Submarine player, getting detected is a situation that is best avoided. ![]() Understand how surface detection, aerial detection and detection by Radar and Hydro-acoustic search works. So, this may feel like a short answer, but the first thing to do is study the published information and how-to videos regarding detection & concealment. Some of the more savvy players are also using their intuition, deduction and guesswork skills to good effect, as well. The detection game, while playing a Submarine, is a bit complex and a Submarine can be detected by various methods from the air, to the surface and to the maximum depths. Is this a question of depth? Distance? The specific boat? I can't find this information and would very much like to know how to be a better sub driver. It seems like other subs are always spotting me before I spot them. I feel like there are detection mechanics that I don't know. ![]()
